2006 Bruce
Dark red colour with a red hue. A lifted nose with leathery, savoury, dark cherry and sweet Christmas cake aromas. Hints of Cabernet "sauvage" give a certain wildness to the nose. The palate is full, rich and savoury. There is a certain sweetness in the mid-palate that is balanced by the very long fine tannins that drive through the wine. This palate is more about texture, structure and complexity rather than simple varietal fruit flavours. A wine that will reward time in the decanter and time in the cellar. SORRY,THIS WINE IS NOW SOLD OUT... 2007 DOUGLAS SOON TO BE RELEASED.

An intriguing three-way blend of cab sav, merlot and shiraz under a new label from Bannockburn, with a complex bouquet of leathery, Bordeaux-like savoury nuances and a hint of pencil-shavings. It's quite delicious and unusual: individuality alone makes it worth trying. 92 pts.

A distinctly elegant wine with fine tannins supporting a mouthwatering array of predominantly red fruits. Very clever winemaking has produced an excellent result. Cabernet Sauvignon/Merlot/Shiraz. Rating 96 Drink 2016
