2001 Range
Vibrant dark red with a dark red hue. This wine has a complex, spicy nose with pepper, anise, leather and dark fruits. Deep and brooding. The nose carries through to the palate, which is quite powerful and rich. Certainly a closed, restained palate that is dense and quite savoury rather than obvious "sweet fruit". Palate has excellent length. A powerful wine.

Range is a single-block super shiraz. Gorgeously rich and complex, it has spicy, plummy fruit and lovely texture with subdued power and great length. New oak has dissolved seamlessly into the wine, which has superb balance.
